Airport facilities



 


 

Money and communications: Facilities include ATMs and a post office (open 0930-1330 Monday-Saturday). A bureau de change will open by the end of 2001. Eating and drinking: There arebars and restaurants, as well as a fast food outlet.Shopping: Shops include newsagents, tobacconists, gift and jewellery shops, a music store, cake shop, sports and shoe shops, CD and video store, and three duty-free shops, there isa travel agency and a pharmacy

There is a designated area outside the terminal building for dropping off disabled passengers. There are also designated spaces for disabled passengers in the airport car park, located opposite the terminal building. The airport has lifts, ramps and disabled toilets; wheelchairs are available on request

transport

 

Road: Taxi: Taxis are available at the airport (journey time to Alicante: 15-20 minutes). Bus: Scheduled buses run every 30 minutes to and from Alicante central bus station

Car
parking

 

Parking is available at the airport opposite the terminal building; long-term and short-term parking are located in one car park, although charges vary
depending on the length of the stay


Conference & business facilities


 




Conference and business facilities are not generally available at the airport although there is a Sala VIP on Departures level 1 offering phone, fax, photocopying and Internet access for business class passengers. Holiday Inn Alicante-Playa de San Juan (tel: (0)96 515 6185), which is 5km (3 miles) from Alicante, can provide conference and business.
